Pryor Picks Ohio State; Rivals Staff Talks Mike Farrell From Ledge

It's over. Over and done, at last. The recruit who would not choose is a Buckeye.

Ohio State is my final ans...final...my final ans...uh...

This has been assumed for months, and though the best thing that could happen, narratively, would be Terrelle Pryor yelling after reporters as they left the room, "Wait! Wait! Uh, I mean, maybe, I dunno...I still kinda like Michigan..." there is a dotted line here. He'll probably ease into the lineup in a Tebow-like role behind Todd Boeckman next year, eclipse the pedestrian fifth-year caretaker toward the end of the year, and set his sights on repeating Tebow's trophy-grabbing breakout as a sophomore. That's the plan, anyway. The kid is Tebow, Troy Smith and Vince Young in one.

Michigan and Penn State partisans: he's a bust. Dude's a head case. Don't sweat it. Y'all never wanted him, anyway. Remember, when you said that?

For recruiting gurus, though, there is no silver lining. The ride of their lives has come to an end. Sure, there will be other guys. More hot, young, rippling studs whose raw physical presence will take their breath away. But another Terrelle? Don't tease Rivals' broken heart.

So as the curtain closes on the recruiting saga of this or any lifetime, it's only appropriate for recruitniks to curl up with a cheap cab, crank the sad songs and belt out their sorrow at the top of their lungs. I know it hurts now. But remember the camps, the phone calls, the first top 100 lists, the brawls in the stands. Whatever else happens in this crazy, mixed up world, remember: we'll always have Tom Lemming's U.S. Army All-Star Game.

It's been such a long time, I think I should be goin’, yeah
And time doesn't wait for me, it keeps on rollin'
Sail on, on a distant highway
I've got to keep on chasin' a dream, I've gotta be on my way
Wish there was something I could say

Well I'm takin' my time, I'm just movin' on
You'll forget about me after I've been gone
And I take what I find, I don't want no more
It's just outside of your front door
Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's been such a long time
It's been such a long time

Well I get so lonely when I am without you
But in my mind, deep in my mind, I can't forget about you
Good times, and faces that remind me
I'm tryin' to forget your name and leave it all behind me
You're comin' back to find me

Well I'm takin' my time, I'm just movin' on
You'll forget about me after I've been gone
And I take what I find, I don't want no more
It's just outside of your front door
Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's been such a long time
It's been such a long time

It's been such a long time, I think I should be goin', yeah
And time doesn't wait for me, it keeps on rollin'
There's a long road I've gotta stay in time with
I've got to keep on chasin' that dream, though I may never find it
I'm always just behind it

Well I'm takin' my time, I'm just movin' along
Takin' my time, oh, I'm just movin' along
Takin' my time, takin' my time
Takin' my time, yeah
