Not that the coach's legendary wisdom is limited to cases of adversity or illness, but perhaps Gary Pinkel can derive some solace from the perseverance of the immortal Hayden Fox, faced with just such dire medical straits prior to Minnesota State's appearance in the 1992 Patriot Bowl?
