Early Friday Out

Real life dominates today, but back Monday with big, big stuff. Also Monday, Orson will open up the voting apparatus at EDSBS for the über-prestigious circle jerk that is the 2007 College Football Blogger Awards. Voting eligibility differs by category, and repeat winners are not welcome, but SMQ has been nominated by one means or another for Best Analysis, Best Writing, Best Recurring Feature ("Life on the Margins"), Best Post: Funny ("I Picked the Wrong Weekend to Visit the Lake"), Best Post: Analysis ("Requiem for a Triple Option"), People's Champ and Mythical National Champion. Hooray, hooray. You are the real winner, reader, if you successfully navigated all that crimson type. Keep an eye out, and vote for MGoBlog.

In the meantime, if you were wondering how Rick Neuheisel wriggled into the UCLA job over Norm Chow and DeWayne Walker, catch Slick Rick workin' the crowd like Obama at the Bruins' basketball game with Arizona last weekend while his coordinators work the Joe Paterno Memorial "awkward thud" cheer:

Have a great weekend.
