Breaking: Demetrius Jones to Northern Illinois

Jones brings tha G-Code to DeKalb.
- - -
Apparently Charlie Weis doesn't even know about this, but after one third of the defunct Irish quarterback rotation failed to board the bus to Ann Arbor Friday afternoon, some message boarders tracked Demetrius Jones to Northern Illinois, not far from his hometown of Chicago.

No mainstream outlets confirm the move yet, but Husky-centric blog NIU Sports did some digging and found Jones' name already in the university directory. He immediately become one of the most highly-rated athletes in Northern Illinois history, and  whatever fears Michigan - or anyone else - had of "the fast one" coming in to run are alleviated until NIU shows up on the schedule in 2008 or 2009.

I detest the Irish, but...
I feel terrible for Jones. Weis jerked him around and used him as Clausen's "Operation Human Shield" to take his beating at the hands of the Yellow Jackets. The AllTimeGenius (tm) had no intention of letting Jones play, beyond running that half-ass, torpid-phallus version of the "spread" installed for Ga Tech's ritual slaughter. Asshole.

I wish him luck, and today I will scream Go Blue! Roll Tide!
