Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Oklahoma middle linebacker Ryan Reynolds suffered a torn ACL during Saturday's game against Texas and will miss the remainder of the season.
Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops made the announcement during his postgame press conference following the 45-35 loss to the Longhorns at the Cotton Bowl.
"He'll be done for the year," said Stoops. "It's real unfortunate."
Reynolds was hurt during the third quarter of Saturday's game and his absence was noticed. Texas attacked the middle of the field after he went down.
The junior was the team's leading tackler entering Saturday's action and was fourth in the Big 12 with 8.6 tackles per game.
