The Hurricanes are still in first place after their second dramatic, comeback win in a row, and their exhausted coach can't contain himself.
Last week, Miami quarterback Stephen Morris passed for a school-record 436 yards and four touchdowns in a dramatic, overtime win over Georgia Tech that left the 'Canes alone atop the ACC's Coastal Division. This week, Morris passed for a conference record 566 yards and five touchdowns in a dramatic, 44-37 win over N.C. State that came down to the final play, a 62-yard Hail Mary to Phillip Dorsett. And Miami is still in first place.
Al Golden's response as the ball was in the air? One very hard-earned, heartfelt "HOLY SHIT."
No need to apologize, coach. It's 2012. Your players are posting much worse on Twitter. And after the last two weeks – hell, after the last year – with the youngest team in the ACC, you know, that's some pretty heavy shit. No harm in dropping the facade every now and then.
