From the sound of it, Miami (Ohio) of Ohio alum/Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan was informed literally seconds before his alma mater kicked off against Ohio State Saturday that he was up for the pregame pep talk, and just decided to go for it. How hard can it be? The guy gives speeches for a living like all day, every day. And aside from completely mixing up the circumstances of Ohio State's winning (not losing) streak against in-state competition, and completely lacking in discernible passion, I'd say he nailed it. Just listen to the pent-up intensity waiting to explode from that room when he's finished. The Red Hawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead before eventually losing, 56-10.
